Alright, you asked for it. Thinking back on it now, it wasn't all that intense, but it sure scared the beejeebies out of me at the time.
When I was about 8 or 9, I was staying with my aunt for the night. I was sleeping in the same room with my cousin, who's 2 years older than me, and it was approx. 1 or 2 in the morning. There was a terrible thunderstorm outside, which didn't scare me in the beginning, and we were sitting there with her little space heater just gabbing away, as young girls do. Then for some reason, her space heater just stopped. It was still plugged in and turned to the on side, but it wouldn't work. That, in itself was not a freaky thing. Electrical appliances are not always reliable. But then, it got incredibly cold. No matter what, a room cannot go form about 75 degrees to about 40 degrees in a matter of minutes!! Still, we attested it to the fact that the heater was off. But what happened next, I absolutely cannot explain. My cousin was looking at a spot beyond my shoulder and started screaming. But then her face was frozen and there was no sound coming out of her mouth. She was swatting at something in the air beside her (she told me later that someone or something had been hitting her) and panicking. But she was not going down without a fight. She kept swatting at the thing even though she could not speak. After about 2 minutes (it seemed like 20!!) she went still. At that precise moment, I felt something that was deathly cold brush by me in a hurry. Within 5 minutes the room returned to normal temps. and the heater came back on. We discussed it only briefly and have never talked about it since. I've never told anyone about it either. But I think that's why I've always had an aversion to the paranormal. I believe what happened was the result of a free-roaming spirit (not a friendly presence) that was possibly traveling in the thunderstorm. We were never visited again.

PS- Sorry for the length. :-)
