Poem

Desire

Like so many roses,
Our tears fall
Mistaken misunderstandings,
Misgivings

You fall,
All our lives we've waited
For something like this
Something so pure

But we are left with flowers
Thrown away,
Shorn
Left to whither in the sun
Of Gods long ago forgotten

You're a white rose in a black garden...
and you fall...like a snowflake...
Let me help you up
