Poem

In the wind...

I miss you and I love you so
And told the wind to let you know
That spring's flowers are colourless
And the meadow has lost her happiness
The April rains fall cold and harsh
And change crisp plains to fields of marsh...

In the wind...

I miss you and I love you so
And told the wind to let you know
That summer's sun just scorches me
And there's no soothing from the sea
The beaches, empty; the country, red.
Without us the summer times are dead...

In the wind...

I miss you and I love you so
And told the wind to let you know
How Autumn isn't playing fair
And there's a cold chill in the air
As trees and flowers slowly die
The grey turns black in Autumn's sky...

In the wind...

I miss you and I love you so
And told the wind to let you know
Winter is here, without surprise
And Jack Frost has hate in his eyes
Cold and snow is all around
And nights are colder without you around

A year has come, a year has past
Without you, the year has gone too fast
I miss you and I love you so
And told the wind to let you know...
So when the wind blows and my whispers clear
Why don't you ever come back here?

In the wind...
