Poem

Trust

It started as a joke,
Always funny to them,
Never funny to me.
I laughed just to make them happy.
They thought I was serious.
That one little joke,
Funny as can be,
They started to believe it to be true.
I can't trust them anymore.
Are they my friends?
Or are they out to ruin me?
They took all I had left,
Tore it apart.
To think,
I thought them friends.
What is trust?
Something you put in a friend?
Well I can't do that.
I have no trust,
I don't know how to trust.
They took that away from me,
And now,
I can't even trust me.
