Poem

happy am I to see my love

leaves dancing
faint laughter heard
caressed by a warm breeze
birds singing with such pride and joy
who can fly like they with ease?
a cloud softly touches a mountain peak
perhaps earth kissing sky?
stars suspended in the night
could two be you and I?
the road is long and sometimes hard
and at times water runs uphill
but happy am I to see my love
when sun peeks over window sill
bodies dancing
faint laughter heard
her warm breath caresses me
our hearts sing with such pride and joy
who could fly higher than we?
I softly touch your lips to mine
perhaps earth kissing sky?
love suspended in the night
yes, it's you and I
life together, long, and sometimes hard
at times we may seem to run uphill
but happy am I to see my love
when sun peeks over window sill
