A Canadian Village

In the summer is you want a place to go
I have just the place I will have you know
Pack a picnic and your kids in your car
The place I have in mind is not so far

Fasten your seat belts, safety first you see.
Then find the nearest way to highway THREE.
The village of WHEATLEY will be East or West
That is for you to decide which is best.

In this nice little village a boat you will find.
A type of boat that is one of a kind
Climb aboard for a different kind of cruise
Information of every kind is there for you to use.

The Car Barn, Lucky Wok and Fishermans Cove.
For a full meal you will be glad you drove.
There's also places for a take out meal or snack.
You can rest assured being satisfied you'll be back.

If to see the largest fresh water fishing port is your wish
Or maybe just a pier off which you would like to fish.
Take a short drive down the road to the lake
You'll also find a beach, a swim you may want to take.

If you don't catch any fish, you can get whatever you desire.
There are fish retail outlets where you can be the buyer.
There is Liddle's, Pools, Mclean's and Omstead's
That have every kind of fish, some even have frozen veg.

Wheatley is a village that has all the amenities required.
In addition to Gas, Electricity and all other utilities desired.
The brand new water treatment plant has completed construction.
We don't have to worry about septic tanks that don't function.

Churches, Stores, even a Supermarket you will find.
With it's own public School, this village is one of a kind.
With a brand new housing project well on it's way.
Many a visitor is going to come here to stay.

Like all the nice friendly people who in this village live.
To the older folks a future here has a lot to give.
A nice rest home, Meadows Manor that gives a good life
Away from the city, the hustle bustle and strife.

In addition to the Kiwanies, Heritage and the Canadian Legion,
There is one of the very best Seniors club in the region.
If you pay us a visit you'll return without a doubt.
The Wheatley Village has the Welcome Mat Out.
