Poem

Time On Earth

I have some thoughts I would like toconvey;
That come to my mind nearly every day.

Mostly questions about my life,
And how well I've handled the dailystrife.

Have I justified my time on earth?
In some small way, have I proven myworth?

Have I completed the tasks I was senthere to do?
Is there more to accomplish before I'mthrough?

Have I been the husband my wifedeserved?
Have my familys needs been adequatelyserved?

Have I always upheld the family name?
If not pride, have I, at least not broughtshame?

Was I fair to those who spent time withme?
As open an honest as they thought Ishould be?

Have I always acted in an unbiasedway?
With compassion for those I met eachday?

The answers must wait until I'm gone;
Only the Lord can judge how well I'vedone.
