Poem

Prayer From The Womb

I hear them whispering again
And their words frighten me
Because they don't understand
That I am here and alive
In Mother's womb
With all the body parts
That God gave to me.

With each passing second
As their time for decision nears
My anquish grows
And my heart beats a rhythm of panic
Despairing my entire being
As my lips repeat this desperate prayer,
Please Mommy and Daddy let me be born.
