Prostates

All males have prostates, and most surely know
that there is a good reason why:
They're quite necessary for our repro-
duction when we're still young and spry.

But later we would certainly not miss
the useless thing; it's my belief
That, as we age, it ought to kind of diss-
ipate, thus saving later grief.

Think, fellows, had we been designed like this,
the happy realization:
Past fifty, we'd no longer need antic-
ipate catheterization.

Alas, urologist, they's have to do
some other kind of speciality.
Idle whimsy while I lie here recu-
perating from my surgery.
