Poem

Regulations

Three men knocked on the Pearly Gates;
Well, first I need to know,
St. Peter said, just what you did
When you were Down Below.

I was a teacher, spoke up one,
Of sociology.
Well, welcome, friend, come right on in,
Remain eternally!

I was a traveling salesman, said
The second hopefully..
Well, welcome, friend, come right on in,
For all eternity.

The third man squared his shoulders and
He proudly raised his head;
I was a Chief Executive,
An HMO, he said.

St. Peter frowned, I'll have to check! . . .
Just let me count the ways . . .
Well, we'll admit you, Sir, but you . . .
Can only stay two days!
