I was lonely ---
Looking through my window shade,
I saw her standing there.
The Bus stop was empty,
But she was just a new fare.
Along came the Bus to collect,
then quickly drove away.
She was still standing there,
much to my dismay.
She seemed to look in my direction,
and made a friendly gesture.
Beckoning me to join her there,
perhaps for some future pleasure.
It all seemed so simple,
to walk across the street.
And be with her through the night,
close to feel her body heat.
But instinct is a precious thing,
to think before you hop.
With my luck in the scheme of things,
she would probably be a Cop!
