There was a game.
We played as kids.
A game of fun,
we called it NIPS.
A piece of wood,
Five inches long.
The ends were penciled,
And one inch round.
A paddle was used,
To hit the nip.
On it's tip,
To jump a bit.
While in the air,
To try and hit.
This wooden nip,
The paddle with.
A target was made,
On the ground afar.
About twenty feet,
It was circular.
The object was,
To flip the nip,
And hit it into,
The circular pit.
The closest nip,
Was the winner, King.
Or the one who hit it,
Into the ring.
