As Winter's raw winds bite
Through nature's thin crisp skin,
Some may long for warmer times,
The way life once had been.
But soon Spring's blossoms will burst forth.
Her warmth will fill the air,
While all God's creatures romp and play,
And strut about in pairs.
The timing of each season
Has a message we can learn,
As Winter makes us thankful
For Springtime's new return.
When Summertime's oppressive heat
Slows life to but a crawl,
In many ways this teaches us
To be thankful for the Fall.
As the future stands before us,
The message is quite clear.
Appreciate the here and now.
Hold all the seasons dear.
