Angels

I have seen many pictures of Angels with wings
They were blonde and fair, quite beautiful things.

Those pictures are misleading and heres how I know
I saw a picture of Mother Theresa and it just isn't so.

They wear no fancy gowns, lines criss-cross their face
They walk not fly amongst the human race.

No harps in their arms on which to play
They cradle the dying as they pass on their way.

No golden sandals upon their feet
They were traded for food for those on the street.

Those pictures are pretty I'll have to agree
But Mother Theresa is an angel to me.
