Spring Dragon

As the spring dragon hatches
out of his spring egg
It moves in all different ways
And before you know
POP out comes a leg

As his head peaks through the egg
His scales so green
A dragon so little
He would never be seen

He reaches for the first thing he feels
As he is forcing his way out
All the crying, whining and squeals
Finally! He's up and about

His mother is so excited about what she sees
A baby dragon that is laying so still
Squinting his little eyes because of thebreeze
With adorable looks that would probably kill

The mother Puts him on her back
To take him to a field to play
And after a while to find a midnight snack
He tried to stand up but there he just lay

He finally got up with jumping and kicking
Playing with the yellow butterflies
He was so happy to be walking and frolicking
But now it was time for them to say theirgood-byes

His mother had to take him back now
To let him have a new babies rest
But she didnt know exactly how
All she knew is that he was very best.
