Bogus the Bogung was a moth, who aspired,
To scale the Hollywood heights,
Yearning to mingle with starlets who're single;
A foppish and gallant squire.
Tonight on TV, I'll be playing a scene...
Said Bogus: I'll be kissing Kate Winslet,
But his friends called him 'NUTTER!' when they saw Bogus pucker,
As his moth-lips smudged up the screen.
But Bogus had no mind to countenance his shame,
For a moth's life is too short to tarry,
Bogus turned in a swoon, (mistaking candle for moon),
Consummating his fifteen minutes of flame!
It's sad but it's true of a moth's futile plight -
To disdain life as if bitter camphor,
For a moth is hell-bent in its nihilistic intent;
Its derelict charge into the light
