Poem

Trapped Memory

You are a distant memory
blowing through the gentle breeze
Singing your songs
That once held the beauty of the sky

My exhausted heart longs to rest
But is doomed
Trapped in eternal darkness

Free falling, agonizing pain
Silently touches my skin and captures my soul
I am now shattered in many pieces
Left to wither in the dust of your memory

Tears shroud my inner being with discontentment
Washing me with unclean hands
Staining my cheeks and turning
My eyes into eternal fountains of misery
